The oral storytelling children generate with their toys is spontaneous and plays an important role in the development of their creativity. However, because this oral storytelling is always impromptu, it is hard to record or share. In response, several possibilities have emerged. Can we link children's stories to their toys? Can we offer opportunities for children to write, edit, collaborate, and share those stories? Can we encourage children's use of technology for creating storytelling in a fun and intuitive way?

Outcome

We provide a very simple way for children to create a multi-animatronics drama show! ZOOO is a multi-animatronics stage that can control several animatronics simultaneously. It simplifies the procedure of scripting motions for multi-animatronics as well as enriching interactions between animatronics. With supporting software, interactions like dancing, chatting, chasing, and hide-and-seek can be created quickly and intuitively.
